The Castle Rock Fling is a running event, a walking event, but more than that, it is a fun morning of friends, family, exercise, prize drawings, awards, entertainment, and finally a wonderful brunch of bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes, and fruit all washed down with a cold Rockyard Brewery Beer, lemonade, iced tea, or water. In other words, a “fling”.

PARKING AND COURSE DESCRIPTION
From I-25 North or South take exit 181. Proceed east to Plum Creek Parkway. Go approximately ½ mile to the Douglas County Events Center on your left.

Both the 5 Mile Run and the 5K Run/Walk will begin adjacent to the Douglas County Events Center. The challenging 5 mile course will travel through the Plum Creek neighborhood (including a long climb) and up to Seller’s Gulch. Participants will head back south on Perry Road and return to the Events Center. The 5K will head east from the Events Center then north to Seller’s Gulch finishing in the same manner as the 5 mile.
